Never chase a certificate of analysis again

We just failed our initial facility audit by one point... Many of the hits were things that I’ve asked time and time again for them to fix. I think I’m going to cry, seriously.

Today, sixty days out, your spreadsheet turns the cell yellow. Engrama sends the first request at that point, asks again until the record is in, and reads the batch and lot numbers out of it into their own fields.

You declare what has to be true when you send the request, the check runs on the supplier’s side before the record ever reaches you, and a line that contradicts the claim is flagged and cited before your name is on it.

A franchisor’s spec says vegetarian. Three hundred lines into the ingredient declaration, the Worcestershire sauce in the dressing contains anchovies.

When a “vegetarian” or “no major allergens” claim does not match what a supplier’s spec actually lists, Engrama proposes, a person approves, the trail records who decided.

Engrama shows you the line and where in the record it found it. You decide whether the ingredient is acceptable.

A certification auditor, a customer, an inspector, the person you answer to: whoever asks for the supplier packet, it is filed with what was checked before it arrived and who has opened it since.

Right First Time (RFT) is the share of requested records that arrive complete, pass every check you asked for, and need no human follow-up.

Engrama’s own reminders do not count as follow-up.

GFSI recertification is not a deadline you clear once. It is a cycle every audited facility runs again next year, and the year after, with a new supplier packet each time.
